Testimonials:

"We just want to take this time to thank you for all that you did for us on our wedding day. Not only were you extremely professional, but also a pleasure to work with as well. You took what was already a very special day in our lives and in your own way put our love story to the sound of music. We couldn't have asked for or dreamed of a more special way to celebrate our love."

- Melissa & Nagib

We are happy to have found Stephen to play at our wedding! From our first meeting with him we were blown away with his versatility in music, and accommodating attitude to include whatever songs we wanted. He was nothing but kind and professional. My guests all loved the live music, which was perfect for an outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour! Thank you Stephen for being a part of our big day!

- Gina Bilodeau

"Everyone was amazed at how well you played and thought it was perfect for the day - this coming from several musicians in the wedding party. Thank you for everything! Hiring you and arranging the music for the wedding was very easy and I appreciated the time you took to answer questions, help us pick songs, and communicate clearly and promptly."

- Gretchen Keller

"I had actually never met Stephen before the ceremony so I was unsure of what to expect. I contacted him in January and mentioned a few songs that I was considering using. He was totally open to my suggestions and provided lots of ideas for the areas where I couldn't think of what I wanted. On the day of, the music was absolutely beautiful and he captured the pieces I wanted perfectly. For this I am extremely grateful.

We also had Stephen play for the cocktail hour back in Calgary and we got rave reviews from the guests!"

- Sandra Lane

"Again, I can't say enough good about Stephen. He is such a nice man and an extremely talented guitarist. Further, I had a song that I wanted to walk down the aisle to which he didn't know, but he learned it just for our wedding. That was so wonderful! His music was beautiful and set the mood for the wedding, and the guests really enjoyed it as well. He was a joy to work with; extremely polite, courteous, helpful, and kind."

- Andrea Hudson

"Thank you so much! I didn't have the chance to thank you for making our day so special we've been crazy busy after our wedding. We just came back from our honeymoon last night from Asia so we are still pretty jet lagged. We wish you all the best - you're a great guitarist!"

- Vivian and Geoff

"Thank you so much! Your playing was beautiful and the perfect compliment to our ceremony!"

Available for weddings (ceremony, reception, cocktails), corporate / private events & ambience, I perform music in many playing styles/genres (classical, Bossa Nova, Latin American, fingerstyle & country blues, popular, and a few others! I am classically trained, but I always enjoy playing be ear, improvisation, and quickly learning pieces for the occasion.

Weddings:

• Choose to have your wedding accompanied by live, solo guitar music (music of all of the America's and Europe). Also choose the pieces for each part of your ceremony: Prelude(s), Processional, Signing of the Register & Recessional. I have in the past arranged many melodies for classical guitar and I am glad to do so at your request, so feel free to mention your ideas, musical tastes and favorites.

• There is a vast repertoire of music from from around the world, including popular tunes and a bit of jazz quite suitable for the various parts of the ceremony, and for receptions / cocktails. Either by meeting in person, telephone or email, we can discuss and decide upon the music you would love to have played at your wedding, creating a most memorable ambience and accompaniment to your day!

• For gatherings of approximately 30 or more people, a P.A. system is used to boost the volume of the guitar, a minimal set-up which maintains the natural tone and ambiance of the classical guitar in any setting. Amplification is available to suit any venue size.
